North Newark is a community-based organization that has been providing a safe place to play baseball since 1954. Our league has approximately 400 kids playing games at our ballparks and other area league parks throughout the regular season. Our recreational season runs from the last weekend in April to the third week in June and culminates in and end of season tournament for our coach pitch, minors, and majors divisions.

This is our beginner division for 4-6* year olds. You can expect at least 1 practice per week and 1 game per week. For the 2025 season, this would include kids born between May 1, 2018- April 30, 2021. 

*We encourage all 6 year olds to move to our coach pitch division after 2 years of t-ball. However, we understand some players may not be ready. Those players have the option to stay in t-ball for an additional year.

 

This is our coach pitch division and is the next step after t-ball. Teams in this division generally practice once or twice per week and will play 2 games per week at both North Newark and other area leagues parks. The league is designed as a developmental program for 6-8 year olds. For the 2025 season this would include anyone born between May 1, 2016- April 30, 2019.

 

This is our farm division and is the first level of "kid pitch". Teams in this division practice twice per week prior to the season and at least once per week once the season starts and will play 2 games per week at both North Newark and other area leagues parks. Teams in this division will also compete in the annual Memorial Day Tournament. This level is for 9 & 10 year olds. For the 2025 season this would include anyone born between May 1, 2014- April 30, 2016.

 

This is our varsity division and is the highest level we offer at North Newark. Teams in this division practice twice per week prior to the season and at least once per week once the season starts and will play 2 games per week at both North Newark and other area leagues parks. Our varsity teams will compete in the annual Memorial Day Tournament. The league is for 11 & 12 year olds. For the 2025 season this would include anyone born between May 1, 2012 - April 30, 2014.
