Division Information

T-Ball
This is our beginner division for 4-6* year olds. You can expect at least 1 practice per week and 1 game per week. For the 2024 season, this would include kids born between May 1, 2017- April 30, 2020.
*We encourage all 6 year olds to move to our coach pitch division after 2 years of t-ball. However, we understand some players may not be ready. Those players have the option to stay in t-ball for an additional year.
Coach Pitch
This is our coach pitch division and is the next step after t-ball. Teams in this division generally practice once or twice per week and will play 2 games per week at both North Newark and other area leagues parks. The league is designed as a developmental program for 6-8 year olds. For the 2024 season this would include anyone born between May 1, 2015- April 30, 2018.
Minors Division
This is our minors division and is the first level of "kid pitch". Teams in this division can expect to practice multiple times per week and will play at least 2 games per week at both North Newark and other area leagues parks. Teams in this division will also compete in the RYSE Memorial Day Tournament. There is a player draft to determine teams for new players to this division. This level is for 9 & 10 year olds. For the 2024 season this would include anyone born between May 1, 2013- April 30, 2015.
Majors Division
This is our majors division and is the highest level we offer at North Newark. Teams in this division practice multiple times per week and play multiple games per week at both North Newark and other area leagues parks. Our varsity teams will compete in the RYSE Memorial Day Tournament. The league is for 11 & 12 year olds. For the 2024 season this would include anyone born between May 1, 2011 - April 30, 2013.
