For 2024, we will be capping our registration for our Majors division (varsity) at 55 spots, Minors division (farm) at 88 spots, and Coach Pitch division (Derek Holland) at 110 spots. T-ball will remain uncapped. These numbers are based on the number of returning kids and kids who are eligible to move up to the next division and doing so allows us greater scheduling flexibility with us moving into RYSE this season. Spots are already filling up, so make sure you get you child signed up soon to secure a spot! Registration is open online and can be accessed any time via our website. It is quick, easy, and takes less than five minutes to get your kids registered. Simply go to our website, www.nnllbaseball.com and click on the 2024 Registration tab to get started.

We will be having two in person registration dates for this season, the first on Wednesday, January 31st from 6-8pm and Sunday, February 25th from 1-3pm. **IMPORTANT** - Once registration closes on February 25th, THERE WILL BE NO LATE REGISTRATIONS ACCEPTED! To secure a spot, your child must be registered by February 25th except for T-ball. T-ball registration will remain open through March 9th. Aside from joining RYSE, one of the biggest changes this season will be to our Majors (varsity) division. The NNLL Board has decided that for 2024, we are going to rebuild the Majors Division from the ground up. We graduated forty-one kids from our Varsity division in 2023, which has left most teams with 3 or 4 players returning, some with only 1 or 2, as well as all the coaches moving on. So, for 2024, each Majors team will have a new coach, and ALL returning players and those players moving to the Majors division will evaluate and will be placed into the draft. Draft order will be determined by a draft lottery on the day of the draft, regardless of how the team finished last year. This was not a decision that was taken lightly, nor was it an easy one, and we understand there may be some trepidation. However, we feel that this is an opportunity for a fresh start for this division and believe that this will be an opportunity to create a much more balanced division and overall, a more positive experience for those players. Our Minors (farm) and Coach Pitch (Derek Holland) divisions will not change for 2024, aside from Derek Holland moving to Coach Pitch. Those players returning to the same division this year will not have to evaluate. As always, if you have questions, or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 2nd as that is when our skills evaluation is scheduled. Any player who is new to the league, regardless of division, is REQUIRED to attend the skills evaluation. Any player moving from T-ball to Coach Pitch is required to attend the Coach Pitch evaluation, any player moving from Coach Pitch to Minors is required to attend the Minors evaluation, and ALL players moving and returning to Majors are required to attend the Majors evaluation. Our Majors evaluation will be from 12:30pm to 2:30pm, Minors evaluation will be from 3-5pm, and our Coach Pitch evaluation will be from 5:30pm-8pm. All evaluations will take place at the Newark High School Auxiliary gym. Reminders will be posted and emailed as we get closer.
